RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FEES FOR THE
REGISTRATION OF WEIGHING AND MEASURING DEVICES
WHEREAS, the California Business and Professions Code
Section 12240 gives to counties the authority to enact local ordinances
establishing fees to be charged for the registration of weighing and
measuring devices to offset the costs of inspecting such devices; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the Ccunty of Butte
has enacted Ordinance No. 2484 thereby adding to the Butte County
Code Section 23C, entitled commercial Weighing and Measuring Instru-
ments; and
WHEREAS, state law prescribes a statutory limit to such
fees which may be charged; and
WHEREAS, said statutory limit has been reviewed and
incorporated herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE iT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte that the fees to be charged for the registration
of weighing and measuring devices shall be as follows:
1 - 3 devices -- $20.00 per location
4 - 9 devices -- $40 00 per location
over 9 devices -- $60.00 per location
Notwithstanding this schedule, the annual registration
fee for electric meters and vapormeters shall be $2.00
per meter per year at a single meter location. Single
meter location shall not include mobilehomes in a
mobilehome park or individual units in an apartment
complex. The fee for one hanging, computer or counter
scale, or cordage/wire meter at a location shall be
$10.00 per year per location.

this 17th day of September 1985 by the following vote:
