ORDINANCE NO, 860
AN ORDINANCE 7.ONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTX
OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, PURSUANT TO
ORDINANCE NOS. 4'75, 522 AND 676 OF SAID COUNTY
1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
2 California, under and pursuant to Qrdinance No. 475 of said County,
3 being the Zoning Enabling Ordinance of said County as amended by
`l Ordinance Nos. 522 and 676, do ordain as follows:
~ SECTION 1. The hereinbelow described area, situate in the
6 County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
7 zoned as an "R-1" (Single Family Residential) District and such
8 area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and ~
9 regulations hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so
10 zoned being located in the unincorporated area of Butte County,
11 Gridley, California, and particularly described as follows:
]2 Map No, 3A (Gridley Area) as shown in the Office of
the Butte County Planning Commission and the Office
13 of the Butte County Clerk.
14 SECTION 2, REGULATIONS FOR "R-1" DISTRICT.
15 .The following regulations shall apply in an "R-1" District:
16 2,1 Uses Perini#~ed:
17 a. Single-family dwellings, not including tents or trailers,
18 b. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
19 2.2 Lot Area: Minimum required area of a lot per dwelling
20 unit shall be not less than eight thousand one hundred twenty-
21 five (8,125) square feet,
22 2.3 Lot Width: Minimum lot width shall not be less than
23 sixty-five (65) feet.
24 2.4 Front Xaxd: Minimum fxant yard shall be fifty (50) feet
25 from the centerline of the road, except where the road is
26 classified by the County as a Federal. Aid Secondary Road the
27 minimum building setback requirements shall be fifty-five (55)
28 feet from the centerline of said road.
29 SECTION 3. All uses of land within the District not specifi-
30 tally authorized and permitted in Section 2 axe prohibited.
31- SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said Enabling
32 Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding to Section 5 thereo

this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning
hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the
7.oning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of
the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ox dinance shfill from and after
its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning
Enabling Ordinance.
SECTION 6, The Ordinance shall be and. it is hereby declared
to~~be in full force and effect from and after thirty (30) days
after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen
{15) days after the date of passage this Ordinance shall be publish
once with the names of the members of the Board voting for and
against it in the ~'EiE GRIDL~Y HERALD ._, a newspaper published
in the County df Butte, Stag of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte, State of California, this lath day of Octo, 1965,
by the fallowing voter
