PROCESS UNDER THE STATE SUBDIVISION MAP ACT
WHEREAS, Government Code Sections 66468.2 and 66494.1 authorizes the Board
of Supervisors by resolution to transfer responsibilities to a county official to
perform the duties required of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors under the State
Subdivision Map Act; and
1JHEREAS, because of the lack of adequate safeguards in the Clerk of the
Board of Supervisors Office it is deemed advisable to transfer the responsibilities
of the .Clerk of the Board of Supervisors pursuant to Government Code Sections 66464
and 66493 related to deposit of securities to the Treasurer-Tax Collector; and
WHEREAS, because of the above processes it is advisable to transfer the
approval of securities for taxes or special assessments collected as taxes which
are a lien, but not yet payable for county parcel maps and both city final subdivision
and parcel maps from the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors to the Treasurer-Tax
Collector.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors, County of Butte,
that the Treasurer-Tax Collector is the official, on behalf of the Clerk of the Board
of Supervisors, authorized to approve and file securities pursuant to the provisions
of Government Code Sections 66464'- and 66493 for taxes or special assessments collected
as taxes which are a lien, but not yet payable for all city and county final
subdivision and parcel maps.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors, County of Butte, State
of California, this 7th day of January 1986, by the following
vote:
