HomeMy WebLinkAbout86-005{~~~~ ~ 1 s r ,.~o; ~~"~`~_~5~ '~~ ~ ~'~ BOARD Of F SUPERVISORS ~* ~ ' *~ CpUNTY OF E3i_}TTE, STATE ~F GALIFORNLA a ~ .r •~*~ `" ~~ Resolufion No. 86-05 RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR., DAY WHEREAS, January 20, 1986 is a national holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.; and WHEREAS, this day, is a day to celebrate the life and dream of Martin Luther King, Jr.; it is a day to reaffirm the ideals of freedom, justice and opportunity for all; a day for love, understanding and peace; and a day when people of all races may put aside their differences and join in a spirit of togetherness. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board of Supervisors adopts this resolution recognizing January 20, 1986 as Martin Luther King, Jr., Day and-urges all county residents to remember Dr. King and his dream of building a better world for all Americans. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors, County of Butte, State of California, this 7th day of January, 1986 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Dot an, Fulton, P7cInturf, V~Jheeler and Chairman McLaughlin NOES: None ABSENT: None NOT VOTING: None ~C ED MCLAUGHLIN, Chairma of the .Butte County Board of Supervisors ATTEST: MARTIN J.
