HomeMy WebLinkAbout86-017WHEREAS, nonprofit organizations provide a variety of vital community services; and WHEREAS, services are often provided and coordinated by dedicated volunteers; and WHEREAS, many community and individual needs would go unmet without such services; and WHEREAS, effective service delivery can improve the quality of life for all residents; and WHEREAS, services are most often offered free of charge or for a minimal fee; and WHEREAS, service delivery is often flexible to better meet the needs of all residents; and WHEREAS, organizations generate revenues from outside of Butte County and therefore create employment opportunities for many residents; and WHEREAS, most organizations provide a high quality of service with minimal funding; and WHEREAS, organizations depend upon community support and involvement for continued existence; and WHEREAS, the City of Oroville is commited to supporting and acknowledging the work of nonprofit organizations.
