TO
PROCLAIM A STATE OF EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, on February 17, 1986, the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte found that due to high water releases and flooding,
a condition of extreme peril to life and property did exist in Butte
County; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with state law the Board of Supervisors
proclaimed an emergency did exist throughout said county; and
WHEREAS, it has now been found that local resources are unable
to cope with the effects of said emergency.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that a copy
of this proclamation be forwarded to the Governor of California with the
request that he proclaim the County of Butte to be in a state of emergency;
and
TT TS FURTHER ORDERED that a copy of this proclamation be
forwarded to the State Director of the Office of Emergency Services; and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that Thomas B. Struthers, civil disaster
coordinator, is hereby designated as the authorized representative of the
County of Butte for the purpose of receipt, processing, and coordination
of all inquiries and requirements necessary to obtain available state and
federal assistance.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this
19th day of February, 1986, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Fultion, McTnturf, Wheeler and Chairman McLaughlin

ABSENT: None
