RESOLUTION DECLARING MARCH 19, 1986
AS "BUTTE COUNTY AGRICULTURE DAY"
4JHEREAS, agriculture is the backbone of this country's economy; and
WHEREAS, California is the Number One agriculture producing state
in the United States, producing 45q of the nation's fruit and vegetables; and
WHEREAS, agriculture is the essential industry in the State of
California; and
WHEREAS, a substantial portion of the economy in Butte County is
agricultural productivity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in order to show agriculture's
vital role to the economy of the County of Butte, this Board hereby declares
March 19, 1986 as "Butte County Agriculture Day."
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this
18th day of March, 1986, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dalan, Fulton, McInturf, Wheeler and Chairman McLaighlin
