RESOLUTION IN MEMORY OF HERBERT J_ AIcCLANAHAN
41HEREAS, this Board was grieved to learn of the death of
Herbert P~1cClanahan; and
WHEREAS, Herbert McClanahan served the citizens of the County of
Butte as a member of the Butte County Fair Board from 1971 to 1986; and
WHEREAS, Herbert hicClanahan served on the Fair Board's Juniar Livestock
Auction Committee; and
WHEREAS, Herbert McClanahan was active in various community groups,
including past president and Paul Harris Fellow of the Gridley Rotary Club,
member of the Gridley Moose Lodge, Butte County 4-H leader, member of the Chico
Commanche Riders Association, member of the Butte County Mounted Posse, member
of the Golden Feather Riders, honorary chapter farmer of the Gridley FFA and
past president of the Camp Fire Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. That this Board hereby memorializes its appreciation for the
many years of unselfish devotion and outstanding service rendered to the citizens
of the County of Butte by Herbert McClanahan during his lifetime.
2. That this Board wishes to express to the family of
Herbert McClanahan its deepest and heartfelt condolences on their loss.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this
1st day of April, 1986, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Fulton, McInturf, ldheeler and Chairman McLaughlin
