RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE OROVILLE GOLDEN GIFTS TO EDUCATION AWARDS
WHEREAS, the Oroville Partners in Education is recognizing positive
contributions to education in the greater Orovil1e community with its Golden Gifts
to Education Awards; and
WHEREAS, awards wi71 be given to people or organizations that contribute
to the education of our youth, adults, or community within the categories of
elementary education, secondary education, Butte Community College, business,
local government, and the community-at-large; and
WHEREAS, the Golden Gifts to Education Awards ceremony and dinner will
be held on Thursday, May 15, 1986 at the Eagles Hall in Oroville; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Supervisors to be named as
a co-sponsor of the Golden Gifts to Education Awards.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board supports the Orovi1le
Golden Gifts to Education Awards and is proud to be named as one of the co-sponsors.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, this 6th day of May, 1986 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Fulton, McInturf, Wheeler and Chairman McLaughlin
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
