STATE OF rALIFC~R-~IA Resolution No. s6-62 2FSOLUTION OF THE BUTTE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors has recognized a continuing erosion of property tax and sales tax revenues to the county caused by selective annexation of the City of Chico; and WHEREAS, the City of Chico proposes the annexation of the Guido's Auto Repair and The Waterworks, both located on West Eighth Avenue, without any accompanying residential zones; and WHEREAS, the Butte County Locat Agency Formation Commission has a policy prohibiting selective annexations of commercial zones for the purpose of revenue generation; and WHEREAS, the annexation proposed would contribute to the cumula- tive environmental impacts of annexations in the area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors: I. Recommends to the City of Chico and the Local Agency Formation Commission that an environmental impact report be written for this project addressing at least the issues of cumulative financial impacts and the continuing ability of the county to deliver services. 2.
