',~~ :ACA' ~~,, :.y+~ ~~'''' .`~~'~~~' ~~** R.eso~ufion No. 86-64 ~~~p~i~ RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING ENDANGERED SPECIES DAY WHEREAS, part of our priceless heritage as citizens of America, California and Butte County has been the rich diversity of wildlife whose home was this continent long before we arrived; and WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the citizens of this country and Butte County to pass on to future generations a world with as many of its rare gifts intact as possible; and WHEREAS, the wants and needs of people need not be mutually exclusive from those of the wild flora and fauna; and WHEREAS, there is a need for communication and education in order to maintain a balance in nature; and WHEREAS, the seventh annual Endangered Species Faire will be held on Saturday, May 10, 1986 at One Mile Recreation Area; and WHEREAS, such a program provides the citizens of Butte County !~rith an excellent opportunity to work for a balance in nature. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors declares May 10, 1986 as ENDANGERED SPECIES DAY. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 6th day of May, 1986 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Fulton, McInturf, Wheeler and Chairman M11cLaughlin NOES: None ABSENT: None NOT .VOTING: None C ED McLADGHLIN, Chairman Butte County Board of Supervisors ATTEST: MARTIN J.
