Resolufion No.86-69
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMMUNITY CRIME RESISTANCE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Butte County Sheriff's Department desires to undertake
a certain project designated Community Crime Resistance Program, to be funded
in part from the funds made available through State General Funds as authorized
by Chapter 1215 of the 1985 Statutes for the California Community Crime Resistance
Program, and/or federal funds as authorized under the Justice Assistance Act of
1984, Public Law 98-473, administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning
(hereafter referred to as OCJP).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Sheriff~Coroner of the County
of Butte is authorized, on its behalf to submit the attached Application to OCJP
and is authorized to execute on behalf of Butte County the attached Grant Award
including any extensions or amendments thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching
funds required for said project under the Community Crime Resistance Program and
the rules and regulations of OCJP and that cash will be appropriated as required
thereby.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not
be used to supplant law enforcement expenditures controlled by this body.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, this 20th day of h1ay, 1986 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Fulton, McInturf, idheeler and Chairman i9cLaughlin
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor Dolan
NOT VOTING: None
