OF YOUTH LINKS PROJECT PROPOSAL
WHEREAS, there is a need for family assessment, counseling
and referral services to divert first time youth offenders away
from the criminal justice in Butte County; and
WHEREAS, Butte County Mental Health's Homeless Emergency
Runaway (HERE) has the ability to provide family counseling,
assessment and referral services; and
WHEREAS, the California Youth Authority has indicated
an interest in funding such a program in Butte County, called
Youth Links.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County
Board of Supervisors instructs Alex Collins-Thomae, director of
Mental Health, to develop and submit a full proposal to the
California Youth Authority for $30,000 for the Youth Links Project
and identifies Alex Collins-Thomae as the project administrator.
PASSED AHD ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of
Supervisors this 3rd day of June, 1986, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Fulton, Mcinturf, and Wheeler.
NOES: :Chairman McLaughlin
ABSENT: None
