HomeMy WebLinkAbout86-075r~,~ ,o `. ;o q ~, ~~~. rn. $OARD OF SUPERVISORS :~ ;* ' : ~. * ~. y~ COUNTY OF Bl.1TTF.., STATE OF CAf_fFORNIA • s+ ~~ ~ • r4~, ~a ~~' s~ `~~~`~ "~'''~' Resolution No. 86-75 Yr~~7s ©~`~ ~~ RESOLUTION URGING RETENTION OF AIR RESOURCES BOARD BUDGET ITEh1 3400 WHEREAS, the Butte County Air Pollution Control district is intent upon improving air quality and protecting the public health; and 4;HEREAS, the State Subvention does not provide support to local districts at the level allowed by law; and WHEREAS, the State does not provide support to new air pollution control programs imposed on local districts; and WHEREAS, motor vehicle use is the largest source of volatile organic compounds, carbon monoxide and hazardous air pollutants in the state, and WHEREAS, increased subventions to local districts from the motor vehicle account would more equitably distribute the cost of air clean-up to motor vehicle users. NOtJ, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte urges the Governor of the State of California to retain Air Resources Board Budget Item 3400, which is increased subvention to TocaT districts from the motor vehicle account. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors, County of Butte, this 3rd day of June, 1986 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Fulton, ldheeler and Chairman McLaughlin NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisor McInturf NOT VOTING: None C Chairman, Board of Supervisors ATTEST: MARTIN J.
