G~t~ ~ . ,.r+" ~ P, ,,+~*~ Resolution No. 66-B1 , .. ~.. ,w RESOLUTION REC06NIZING OROVILLE BLUES AND CULTURAL FESTIVAL DAY WHEREAS, the E1 Medio Neighborhood Development Corporation has seen fit to join with the Chico Blues Society in presenting the 2nd Annual Oroville Blues and Cultural Festival; and WHEREAS, there is a nationwide resurgence of appreciation for the Blues and its cultural contributions for all Americans; and WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors desires to encourage and promote cultural and entertainment activities for all of our citizens; and tJHEREAS, the 2nd Annual Oroville Blues and Cultural Festival will be held at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park during the forthcoming independence Day weekend. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors do herewith officially endorse this festival and encourage our citizens to avail themselves of these most worthwhile cultural and social amenities.
