RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FEES
FOR TRAUMA CENTER DESIGNATION
WHEREAS, the County of Butte is interested in supporting
the designation of a Trauma Center in this region; and
WHEREAS, the designation of a "Trauma Center" i.s a
complex process which requires a thorough and detailed review and
evaluation in great depth of ali medical facilities applying for
such designation; and
WHEREAS, this Board, pursuant to the Health and Safety
Code, Division 2.5, Chapter 6, Article 2.5, Section 1798.16,
may charge a fee to an applicant seeking initial or continuing
designation as a trauma facility in an amount sufficient to cover
the costs directly related to the designation of trauma facilities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Sutte County Board
of Supervisors that the following fees shall become effective on
TRAUMA CENTER DESIGNATION
Application Fee $30,000.00*
Processing Charges To include the cost of the
contract for evaluation,
certification and designation
plus County administrative
charges.
*Application fee to be paid prior to the initiation
of the designation process. Application fee to
serve as a down payment on the processing charges.
If the actual processing charges are less than
$30,000.00, a refund will be issued. If the
actual processing charges are more than
$30,000.00, the balance is to be paid prior
to completion of the designation process.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of
Supervisors this 22nd day of 1986, by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Fulton and Wheeler
NOES: Supervisor McInturf and Chairman McLaughlin
ASSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
