RESOLUTION INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE EXCLUSION
OF THE NORTH GRAVES SUBDIVISION FROM THE SPHERE OF
INFLUENCE OF THE CITY OF CHICO
WHEREAS, a Sphere of Influence is defined as the
ultimate limits of a city or other entity, and serves as an
indicator of expected annexation; and
WHEREAS, a majority of the residents and/or land-
owners of the North Graves Subdivision have submitted their
petition for exclusion from the Sphere of Influence of the
City of Chico; and
WHEREAS, these petitioners wish to remain in the
unincorporated area of Butte County and do not wish to be
annexed to the City of Chico in the foreseeable future.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND
ORDERED as follows:
The Butte County Local Agency Formation Commission
is hereby requested to initiate proceedings for the amendment
of the Sphere of Influence of the City of Chico to exclude
the North Graves Subdivision.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of
Supervisors, State of California, this 5th day of August, 1986,
by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Fulton and McInturf
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor Wheeler and Chairman McLaughlin
NOT VOTING: None
