RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING SEPTEMBER 1986 A8 UNITED WAY MONTH
WHEREAS, United Way of Butte County belongs to the citizens of Butte
County; and
WHEREAS, the money donated for programs and services stays in Butte
County; and
WHEREAS, United Way funded agencies, namely, Chico Meals on wheels; .
Catholic Ladies Relief Society; Children's World; Boy Snouts; Family Service;
Catalyst; Do-It Leisure; C.A.V.E.; Girl Scouts; Red Cross; Camp Fire;
Children's Home Society; Oroville YMCA; Rape Crisis; Oroville Rescue Mission;
Paradise Meals an Wheels; and Strive Center pravide programs and services
necessary far the improvement of our community. _,__._ _
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte that September 1986 is hereby designated as Butte County
United Way Month.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by this Board of Supervisors to urge all
citizens to join in observing United Way Month and helping through
contributions to participating organizations.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of August, 1986, by the Board of
Supervisors, County of Butte, by the failowing vote:-
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Fulton and McInturf
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor 1+Iheeler and Chairman P1cLaughlin
NOT VOTING: None
