HomeMy WebLinkAbout86-139RESOLUTION SUPPORTING NATIONAL BUSINESS WOP9ENS WEEK - OCTOBER 26 - NOVEMBER 1, 1986 tdHEREAS, the nation's business women contribute to the economic, social and political life of the community, state, nation and world; and WHEREAS, the President of the United States has recognized the contributions of business women by declaring the week of October 26 - November 1, 1986 to be National Business Womens Week; and WHEREAS, the National Federation of Business and Professional Womens Clubs of the United States will honor working women from October 26 - November 1 by sponsoring special activities that focus on career opportunities for young women; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Butte County Board of Supervisors to honor the nation's business women and to recognize the achievements of the California Federation of Business and Professional Womens Clubs in promoting career opportunities for women. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors recognizes and appreciates contributions by business women and the California Federation of Business and Professional Womens Clubs and would like to go on record in support of National Business Womens Week occurring October 26 - November 1, 1986.
