WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors has recognized the
Butte County Management, Confidential and Supervisory Unit as the
organization representing employees in the f~1CS Unit of representation
pursuant to Section 3500 et seq. of the California Government Code;
AND, WHEREAS, the County of Butte and the Butte County MCS Unit
have entered into a P9emorandum of Understanding regarding wages, hours
and conditions of employment for employees designated in the MCS Unit of
representation;
AND, WHEREAS, the County of Butte and the Butte County MC5 Unit
have agreed to State Disability Insurance coverage for employees in the
MCS Unit of representation;
AND, IdHEREAS, a secret ballot election conducted by the State
Conciliation Service among employees in the MCS Unit of representation
resulted in a majority of the employees requesting coverage under the
State Disability Insurance Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Butte County Board of Supervisors
hereby maEces application to the State of California pursuant to Section
710.5 of the Unemployment Insurance Code for State Disability Insurance
coverage of those employees designated in the MCS Unit of representation
only, said coverage to be effective January 1, 1987.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this
16th day of December 198 6 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Fulton, T1cInturf, 4dheeler and Chairman Mcl.augh1in
