CERTAIN ROADS WITHIN THE COUNTX OF BUTTE' STATE OF CALT~ORNIA

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
do ordain as follows:
SECTION l: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an
engineering and traffic survey, the County highways hereinafter described come
within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State of
California, in that a maximum speed limit of sixty-five t65) miles per hour
is more than is reasonable and safe on said highways, and determines and de-
dares a prima facie speed limit on such County highways as follows:
SECTION 2: That a prima facie speed limit o£ twenty-five (25~ miles
per hour is hereby determined, declared and established upon the hereinafter-
described County highways, to wit:
On MANZANITA AVENUE, from Mangrove Avenue to Mariposa Avenue
On EATON AVENUE, from Cohasset Highway to Goodman Avenue
On ALL OF OAKLAWN AVENUE
On ALL OF BIDWELL DRIVE
On ALL OF STEWART AVENUE
On CREEK ROAD sometimes called Bidwell Avenue from State Highway 32
to the east right-of-way line of Rose Avenue
Cc's ALL OF RECENT LOOP
On ALL OF MONTE VISTA AVENUE east of Lower Wyandotte Road
On ALL OF ROSITA WAY
On ALL OF LAS PLUMAS WAY
On ALL OF CREST RIDGE DRIVE
On ALL OF FAIRHILL BRIVE
On ALL OF LOMO VISTA DRIVE
On ALL OF DEERWOOD DRIVE
On ALL OF ANDORA CIRCLE
On ALL OF HEATHER CIRCLE
On ALL OF HUNTER DRIVE
On ALL OF MELROSE DRIVE
On ALL OF MORREL CIRCLE
On ALL OF SISKIYOU AVENUE

On TENTH STREET from the northwesterly line of Grand Avenue to the
southerly line of Plumas Avenue
On SEVENTH STREET from Northwesterly line of Grand Avenue to the
southerly line of Plumas Avenue
On SIXTIi STREET from northwesterly line of Grand Avenue to the
southerly line of Nelson Avenue
SECTION 3: That SPEED LIMIT 2S MILES signs be placed at appropriate
locations on the roads described in Section 2.
SECTION 4: That a prima facie speed limit of forty-five (45)-miles
per hour is hereby determined, declared and established upon the hereinafter-
described County highway to wit;
On PALERMO ROAD, from the northerly right-of-way line of Kusel Road
to a point 1000 feet northerly of the centerline of Messina Avenue
SECTION 5: That SPEED LIl+ZLT 45 MILES signs be placed at appropriate
locations on the road described in Section 4.
SECTION 6: That a prima facie speed limit of thirty-five .(35} miles
is hereby determined, declared and established upon the hereinafter-described
County highways, to wit;
On BIGGS-G7EST GRIDLEY HIGHWAY from the northerly line of Gridley-
Colusa Highway to the southerly line of Macedo Road
On NELSON AVENUE from Oroville City Limits westerly to the westerly
line of Twelfth Street
On GRAND AVENUE from Oxoville City Limits westerly to the westerly
line of Twentieth Street
On TENTH STREET from the northerly line of State Highway l62 northerly
to the southerly line of Grand Avenue

On TOWER WYANDOTTE ROAD from the northerly line of Claremont Drive
to the southerly line of Monte Vista Avenue
On FEATHER RIVER BOULEVARD from a point 1200 feet southerly of the
intersection of Oroville Dam Boulevard to the city limits of the
City of Oroville
On OROVILLE-QUINCY HIGHWAY from Hart's Mill Fire Station to the
northerly line of Berry Creek Station Road
SECTION 7; That SPEED LIMIT 35 MILES signs be placed at appropriate
locations on the roads described in Section 6.
SECTION 8: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 9: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and
terms of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and
the invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, provision, section or term
thereof shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance nor render the same
inoperative or invalid.
SECTION 10: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is
hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie
speed limits established herein, within thirty {30~. days of the adoption
hereof.
This ordinance shall take effect thirty .~30~ days after its passage
and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall
be published with the names of the members voting for and against same, once
in a local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
