RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE
GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO
COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 73, FTXTNG TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING OF PROTEST AND DTRECTING THE GIVING OF
NOTICE THEREOF
WHEREAS, property owners or registered voters in the County of Butte
have submitted written petitions requesting annexation to County Service Area
No. 73 in order to obtain street lighting for properties located within that
area designated as Meadow Estates Subdivision Unit 3, described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 56703 of the Government
Code, Leatha M. Davies did file with the Local Agency Formation Commission of
the County of Butte, State of California, a proposal to annex the territory
described in Exhibit "A" as attached; and
WHEREAS, said Local Agency Formation Commission determined that the
territory proposed for annexation is inhabited and directed the Board of Super-
visors of the County of Butte to give notice and hold hearings on the proposed
annexation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte as follows:
1. That the Board of Supervisors proposes to annex to County Service
Area No. 73 all that territory situate in the County of Butte, State of
California, designated as Meadow Estates Subdivision Unit 3.
2. That the 24th day of February 1987, at the
hour of 11:30 a. m., in the Board of Supervisors' Room, 25 County Center Drive,
Oroville, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing of
written protests against said annexation.
3. That any owner of real property within the territory proposed to
be annexed or any registered voter residing within the territory proposed to
be annexed may file a written protest against said annexation prior to the
conclusion of said hearing.
4. That the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is hereby directed to
give notice of said time and place of hearing as provided by Sections 57025
and 57026 of the Government Code.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte at its meeting of February 3 1987, by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Fulton, McInturf, McLaughlin, Vercruse and Chair Dolan
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
