Resolufion No. 87-11
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHIEF PROBATION OFFICER
TO APPLY FOR AND ADMINISTER A DELINQUENCY
PREVENTION GRANT
WHEREAS, The Department of the Youth Authority plans to
award a small number of ane-year delinquency prevention grants
which will fund local efforts in systems development; and
WHEREAS, Grants will be awarded to public and private non-
profit agencies or professional associations submitting proposals
which best respond to the rationale of this request as rated. by
a joint committee of the State Commission on Juvenile Justice,
Crime and Delinquency Prevention and the Advisory Committee on
Juvenile Justice Community Resource Referrals Program; and
WHEREAS, The County of Butte wishes to submit an application
for funding; and
WHEREAS, A resolution of the governing board of the sponsor-
ing agency is necessary to authorize the submission of the
proposal;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board
of Supervisors authorizes Wallace A. Herring, Chief Probation
Officer, to apply for and administer a "Systems Development in
Delinquency Prevention" grant from the California Youth Authority.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors
this 3rd day of February, 1987, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Fulton, McInturf, McLaughlin, Vercruse and Chair Dolan
