HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-014BOAR[ OF SUPERVISORS COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA Resolution No. 87-14 RESOLUTION CHANGING TERPiS GF APPOINTMENT FOR APPOINTEES REPRESENTING SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICTS WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors has created a number of advisory boards, commissions and committees for the purpose of assisting in the effectiveness of county government services; and WHEREAS, some of these boards, commissions and committees include appointed members which represent supervisorial districts; and 6•dHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Supervisors to change the terms of appointment of some members of boards, commissions and committees that include appointed members representing supervisorial districts, so that their terms of appointment coincide with the elected terms of the county supervisors representing these districts. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution 85-4 establishing the Butte County Commission on Aging; Bylaws - Economic Development Corporation; Resolution 84-170 establishing Industrial Development Authority of Butte County; Bylaws - Overa17 Economic Development Program Committee; Bylaws - Butte County Water Commission; Resolution adopted April 22, 1946 establishing Butte County Noosing Authority are all amended to read as follows: "Each member of the Board of Supervisors shall nominate one qualified member who shall serve a term of appointment which coincides with the elected term of the county supervisor making the nomination. This amendment shall replace any previous language found in enabling resolutions and/or bylaws which prescribed terms of appointment."
