HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-017WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors appointed the Lower Court
Task Force to review alternatives and make recommendations on Lower Court
organizatiana7 structure in Butte County; and
WHEREAS, the Lower Court Task Force recommended- to the Board of Supervisors
that north and south county municipal districts be established with two judges in
each district; and
WHEREAS, the headquarters of the PJorth County Municipal Court will be
in Chico with branch services in Paradise and the headquarters of the South County
Municipal Court will be in Oroville with branch services in Gridley; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 592, Statutes of 1986, was effective January 1, 1987
authorizing the establishment of the two municipal court courts; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 592, Statutes of 1986, is operative upon adoption by
the Board of Supervisors of the resolution finding That sufficient funds exist for
'the implementation of the two municipal court districts; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors
does hereby find that sufficient funds exist for the establishment of the North
and South County Municipal Court districts; and
B~ •IT FURTHERP~90RE RESOLVED that this resolution sha11 be effective
March 15, 1987 and only upon receipt by the Secretary of State.

NOES: Supervisor McLaughlin
