RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE
FTNDING THAT A MAJORITY PROTEST HAS NOT BEEN MADE AGAINST THE
ANNEXATION OF INHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS MEADOW
ESTATES SUBDTVTSTON UNIT 3 AND ORDERING THE ANNEXATION
OF SATD TERRTTORY TO COUNTY SERVICE AREA N0. 73
WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of February 1987, the Board of Super-
visors of the County of Butte adopted Resolution No. 87-08 giving notice of
the proposed annexation of inhabited territory designated as Meadow Estates
Subdivision Unit 3 to County Service Area No. 73, which territory is more
fully described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference made a
part hereof; and
WHEREAS, said resolution set February 24, 1987 at the hour of 11:30
a.m. as the time for hearing of written protests against said annexation; and
WHEREAS, the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors did cause notice of
said hearing to be published as provided in Sections 57025 and 57026 of the
Government Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed in said resolution giving notice
of said hearing, the Board determined that a majority protest was not made; and
WHEREAS, the owners of more than 57 of the total assessed value of
land and improvements within the territory have submitted written petitions
requesting annexation of their property to County Service Area No. 73; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Local Agency Formation Commission has
approved the proposed annexation; and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the Butte County Local Agency
Formation Commission has approved a negative declaration for the proposed
annexation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte as follows:
That all that certain inhabited territory designated as Meadow
Estates Subdivision Unit 3 and described in the attached Exhibit "A" be
annexed to and included within County Service Area No. 73 as provided by
law.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte at its meeting of February 24, 1987, by the following
vote:
AYES: Supervisors Fulton, McLaughlin, Vercruse and Chair Dolan
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor McInturf
NOT VOTTNG: None
