RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION-MONTH
WHEREAS, child abuse is a serious national and local concern for all
people; and
WHEREAS, there is continuing need for ongoing awareness and prevention
programming for child abuse; and
WHEREAS, during the month of April 1987, Parent Education Network,
in cooperation with the Butte County Child Abuse Council and California State
University, Chico, will sponsor Child Abuse Prevention Month; and
WHEREAS, this is the third annual Child Abuse Prevention Month far
Butte County and our children can be better protected through the continued
involvement awareness of the environment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors
that April 1987 be declared Child Abuse Prevention Month and that all residents
of Butte County be urged to recognize and participate in this special observance.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors, County of Butte, State
of California, this 7th day of April 1987 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Fulton, McInturf, McLaughlin, Vercruse and Chair Dolan
NOES: None
