HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-225RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHIEF PROBATION OFFI COUNTY OF 1986 BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED that W. A. Herring, Chief Probation Officer, is authorized and directed to submit an application for funds to the Department of the Youth Authority, State of California, pursuant to the County Correctional Facility Capital Expenditure Bond Act of 1986 (Juvenile Facilities), as follows: 1. (Phase I) Correct significant health and safety deficiencies that have been identified in the Butte County Juvenile Hall, and (Phase II) construct a multipurpose classroom to alleviate over- crowding in current classroom setting. 2. It is estimated that this project will cost $191,400.00. 3. Butte County will provide hard matching funds in the amount of $19,000.00 as follows:Phase I - cash $4,200, equipment already purchased $1,800, total $6,000. Phase II - equipment $10,000, _' site preparation $3,000, total $13,000. 4. Butte County will provide soft matching funds in the amount of $29,000.00 as follows: Phase I -- labor $4,700, equipment $2,200, 4% administrative costs $2,100, total $9,000. Phase II - `-, t, 8/10 of an acre building site $15,700, 2 time county building ': inspector, salary and benefits for 3 months during construction $4,300, total $20,000. •. 5. Butte County intends to finance all ongoing operating costs that may be associated with the project.
