UNDER THE CO~Ir1UNITY PARKLANDS ACT OF 1986
WHEREAS, applications for grant funds under the Community Parklands Act
of 1986 have been received for the following projects:
City of Gridley - Nick Daddon Plaza $20,000
Feather River Recreation and Park District -
Nelson Poor Complex $32,827
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the Community
Parklands Act of 1986, which provides funds to the State of California and its
political subdivisions for acquiring and developing facilities for public recreational
and historical purposes; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated
the responsibility for the administration of the program within the state, setting
up necessary procedures governing application by local agencies under the program;
and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Parks
and Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of
applications before submission of said applications to the state; and
WHEREAS, said applications contain assurances that the applicants must
comply with; and
WHEREAS, the applicant agencies will enter into an agreement with the
State of California for acquisition, development, rehabilitation or restoration
of the projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors
hereby:
1. Approves the filing of applications for Community Parklands Act of
1986 state grant assistance for the above projects; and
2. Certifies that said agency understands the assurances and certification
in the application form; and
3. Certifies that said agency has or will have sufficient funds to operate

and maintain the projects; and

4. Certifies that said agency will complete the projects within three
years from date of approval by the state; and
5. Appoints the following as agents of the County of Butte to conduct
all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including but not
limited to applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests,
and so on, which may be necessary for the completion of the
aforementioned projects:
City of Gridley - City Administrator
FRR and PD - District Manager
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors, County of Butte, State
of California, this First day of September 1987 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Fulton, McInturf, Vercruse and Chair Dolan
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor McLaughlin
