RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION fd0. 87-221
FIXING TAX RATES IN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1987-88
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte pursuant
to Constitutional and Statutory authorization did .adopt Resolution No. 87-221
fixing tax rates in the County of Butte for fiscal year 1987-1988 on
August 18, 1987; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said adoption Lake Madrone Water District
certified amounts to be raised as voter approved indebtedness subsequent
to the adoption of said resolution, but prior to the final date of adopting
such tax rates; and
WHEREAS, the County Auditor pursuant to statutory authority has
calculated the Lake Madrone tax rates based on amounts provided by the
District to be a total of $1.25 per $100.00 of full taxable value; and
blHEREAS, there exists a dispute as to the validity of the amounts
to be raised which dispute wi71 not be settled by the courts until subsequent
to the legal deadline for adopting tax rates:. ...
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, that said Board does hereby amend
Resolution No. 87-221, fixing the tax rates in the County of Butte for
the fiscal year 1987-1988 to include subject to court order the following
tax rates per $100.00 of full taxable value as other voted indebtedness:
Rate
Lake Madrone Water District - EDA Loan .288
Lake htadrone Water District - Other "Voter Approved"
Debt .962
The above tax rates for Lake htadrone Water District or any portion
thereof, if any, shall only be levied and collected upon court order.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of September, 1987, by the Butte
County Board of Supervisors by the fiollowing vote:
AYES: Supervisors Fulton, McInturf, McLaughlin, Vercruse and Chair Dolan
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
