HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-247WHEREAS, the Special Olympics is an important part of the ongoing programs to benefit retarded citizens of this county; and WHEREAS, the prosperity and well being of this county's less fortunate citizens are dependent upon cooperation among business and the community at large; and WHEREAS, the Special Olympics efforts are now in progress and will occur during the next months; and WHEREAS, such a program provides an excellent opportunity for the county to work together in support of their less fortunate citizens; and WHEREAS, such support and cooperation presents a most favorable image throughout the state of the county's awareness of Butte County and its residents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors declares the week of October 12-16, 1987 as Special Olympics Week. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 6th day of October, 1987, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Fulton, McInturf, McLaughlin, Vercruse and Chair Dolan NOES: None ABSENT: None NOT VOTING: None tte Qounty Board of Supervisors ATTEST: MARTIN J.
