HomeMy WebLinkAbout876ORDINANCE IV'O. 876 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ZONING A PORTION OF SAID COUNTY PURSUA[dT TO ORDINANCE NOS. 475, 522 and 676 OF SAID COUNTY The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, under and pursuant to Ordinance iQa. 475 of said County, being the Zoning Enalaling Ordinance, as amended by Ordinance Nos. 522 and 676 do. ordain as follows: SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situate in the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby zoned as an "A-R" (Agricultural-Residential) District and such area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated area of Butte County, southeast of the City of Oroville, California, and particularly described ~.s follows: Oroville Sectional Map No. 4E as shown in the Office of;'the Butte County Planning Commission and the Office of the-Butte County Clerk. SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "A-R" DISTRICT. The following regulations shall apply in an "A-R" District: 22 ~. 23 24' 25 26 27 28 29 30 i 31 32 • 2.1 Uses permitted: a) Single family dwellings, not including tents or trailers b) Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses, c) Agricultural uses, and d) Livestock, subject to requirements as follows: 1) Minimum lot area to be devoted to re&i:clential use shal be not less than eight thousand one hundred twenty-five (8,125) square feet; 2) Exclusive of the area devoted to the residential use, the following lot or parcel areas shall be required for each animal raised or kept on the premises: (a) For each horse or head of cattle over one (1) year of age - eight thousand one hundred twenty-five (8,125) square feet, (b} For each head of swine aver ten (10) weeks of age - eight thousand one hundredisaenty-five (8,125) square feet, (c) For each head of sheep or goats - two thousand (2,000) square feet. 2,2 The following uses subject to .securing a use permit in ea case: a) Duplex dwellings and multiple family dwellings, b) Golf courses, country clubs, if•permitted, would permit accessory uses such as driving range, pro shop, cocktail bar, restaurant, c) Public and quasi-public uses .including churches, fire- houses, hospitals, parks & playgrounds, schools and public utility buildings, d) Commercial poultry farming and livestock farming, e) Veterinary clinics, autpatient, f) Nurseries and plant gardens. 2.3 Minimum building area required -.eight thousand one hundred twenty-five (8,125) square feet. 2.4 Minimum building site width required - sixty-five (65) 2.5 Minimum front yard required - fifty (50) feet from the centerline of the road. ~" 7 ~ 2.6 Minimum side yard requirement - five (5) feet. SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not specifi- cally authorized and permitted in Section 2 are prohibited. SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding to Section 5 thereof this Ordinance in full. SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from .and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance. 9 IO lI 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 If 21 22 23 24'. 25 SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby declared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (30) days after the date of its passage and before-the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage, this Ordinance shall be published once with the names of the members of the Board voting for and against it in the Biers News a newspaper published in the 'County of Butte, State of California.
