WHEREAS there is a need for permanent residential housing tor- the
mentally retarded disabled in Butte County, and;
WHEREAS Community Living Centers has proposed to purchase and
rehabilitate an existing facility to provide these services, and;
WHEREAS Community Living Centers has demonstrated the ability to
operate residential facilities for the mentally disabled;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of
Supervisors supports the application of Community Living Centers to the
California Department of Housing and Community Development for Special User
Housing Rehabilitation Program funds that are available for rental
rehabilitation projects in rural areas.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of Butte County at a
regular meeting of said Board held on January 26, 1988 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Fulton, McLaughlin, and Chairman McInturf
NOES: None
ABSENT: 5ugervisor Vercruse
ABSTAIN: None
