HomeMy WebLinkAbout88-055~~,~ `', xr~~~r(g~.cr~.F~ , SFk 7@.1LJ ry CT f..J ' V r' 7 V I- ~. f'[ Y [ ~ l~ I"C +7 r CJ ~.#R pp1,~ ~, ~ ~ C4L~NTY OF B[JTT E, .STATE QF CALIFORNIA Resolution No. 88-055 RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING MAY 22-28, 1988 AS TRAFFIC SAFETY WEEK WHEREAS, traffic collisions are the fourth leading cause of deaths in California; and WHEREAS, at least 92 percent of all injury-producing collisions are attributed to human error and could be prevented; and WHEREAS, public and private institutions, along with concerned individuals, can promote traffic safety by increasing public awareness of safety measures; and WHEREAS, the State of California is observing May 22 through 28, 1988, as California Traffic Safety Week; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors that the week of May 22-28, 1988 is hereby proclaimed as traffic safety week in Butte County hoping this observance will encourage our citizens to increase their caution on the roads and highways to prevent traffic accidents. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 17thday of May , 1988, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Fulton, McLaughlin, Vercruse and Chairman McInturf NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisor Dolan NOT VOTING: None HASKEL A.
