RESOLUTION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF GUTTERS AND CURBS
BY THE CITY OF GRIDLEY
WHEREAS, the City of Gridley wishes to construct curb and
gutter for the 300 block of Idaho Street and curb, gutter,
sidewalk and storm drain improvements for the 1800 block of
Sycamore Street in Gridley; and
WIiEREAS, three of the parcels which front these improvements
are not within the City of Gridley but remain within the
jurisdiction of the County of Butte; and
WHEREAS, the City of Gridley has requested this Board to
consent to such construction on said properties fronting on the
improvement area but lying entirely within the unincorporated
territory of the County of Butte; and
WHEREAS, Streets and Highways Code Section 5895.51 provides
that upon the consent of this Board given by resolution adopted
by a majority of this Board's membership the city shall have
jurisdiction over such areas for the purpose of such
construction; and
WHEREAS, this Board desires to give the requested consent;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Butte:
1. That this Board gives its consent to the City of Gridley
to construct curb and gutter for the 300 block of Idaho Street
and curb, gutter, sidewalk and storm drain improvements for the
1800 block of Sycamore Street in the City of Gridley pursuant to
Chapter 27 of Part 3 of Dividsion 7 of the Streets and Highways
Code, and particularly section 5895.51 thereof.
2. That the City of Gridley will have and retain the full
responsibility and liability for such construction.
3. That the City of Gridley will have and retain the full
responsiblitq and liability for maintenance of such improvements.
