IN MEMORY OF JOHN J. JACK MADIGAN
WHEREAS, this Board was grieved to learn of the recent death of
John J. {Jack} Madigan, deceased.
WHEREAS, Jack Madigan has served his community, state and nation
with distincticn in numerous organizations and in varied and responsible
capacities, including his highly renowned and successful service an the State
Reclamation Board Por a long number of years;
WHEREAS, this Board particularly wants to commemorate Jack Madigan'.s
eight years service on the Board of Supervisors, not only on its behalf, but
also on behalf of the public and all of the Butte County officers and
employees who had the pleasure of serving with him;
WHEREAS, upon his election Prom the Third District until his
retirement at the conclusion of his second term in January of 1979, Jack's
conscientious and intelligent approach to government, coupled with his
enthusiasm and industry for the benefit of the public were well recognized and
appreciated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of
Supervisors on its own behalf, as well as on behalf of all of the Butte County
officers and employees who all regarded the late Jack Madigan with utmost
respect and affection, and join in expressing our sincerest condolences to his
widow, Roae Madigan, and to his family;
BE iT FURTHER RESOLVED that this meeting is adjourned in the memory
of John J. Madigan, deceased.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of May, 1988 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Fulton, McLaughlin, Vercruse and
Chairman'McTnturf
