RESOLUTION ABANDONING A STREET
This matter came on regularly for hearing before the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
on July 26 1988, in the Board Chambers, Butte County
Administration Building, Oroville, California, and it appearing
to said Board that a Notice of Time and Place of Hearing of said
Abandonment was duly and regularly given as required by law, and
testimony and evidence, both oral and documentary, having been
produced at said hearing, from which said Board now finds that
the hereinafter described Street is unnecessary for present or
prospective public use.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY' ORDERED as follows:
1. That the street portion situated in the County of
Butte, State of California, as hereinafter more particularly
described, is hereby abandoned pursuant to Chapter 3 of Part 3 of
Division 9 of the California Streets and Highways Code
(commencing with Section 8320).
2. That said street portion so abandoned is known as
Hewitt Avenue, is located in the Palermo area of the County of
Butte, State of California, and is described as follows:
HEWITT AVENUE
AP 26-23-6, 7 & 9
Being a portion of that certain 80 foot right of way
known as Hewitt Avenue lying within Palermo Citrus
Tract Subdivision No. 1, recorded on Map of Record,
Wall Map No. 3, County of Butte, State of California,
more particularly described as follows:
That certain portion of said Hewitt Avenue lying
between Blocks 57 and 58 of said Palermo Citrus Tract
Subdivision No. 1, bounded on the North by the south
right of way line of South Villa Avenue, bounded on the
South by the Easterly extension of the south line of
Block 57 of said subdivision, bounded on the East by
the west line of said Block 58, and bounded on the West
by the east line of said Block 57.
Said Map showing the 80 foot right of way to be
abandoned is on file in the Office of Butte County Department of
Public Works, 7 County Center Drive, Oroville, California 95965.
3. That the Clerk of this Board shall cause a certified
copy of this Resolution, with the seal of the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, to be
recorded in the office of the Retarder of the County of Butte,
State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of
Supervisors this 26th day of ~ulY 19 88 by
the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Fulton, McLaughlin, Vercruse and
Chairman McInturf
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
