Resolufion No. 88-136
COMMUNITY PARKLANDS BOND OF 1988
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF
BUTTE APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS UNDER THE COMMUNITY
PARKLANDS ACT OF 1986 for the following project{s}:
Durham Recreation & Park District $20,000
Richvale Recreation & Park District 20,000

WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have
enacted the Community Parklands Act of 1986, which provides funds to
the State of California and its political subdivisions for acquiring
and developing facilities for public recreational and historical
purposes; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has
been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the
program within the state, setting up necessary procedures governing
application by local agencies under the program; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State
Department of Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify
by resolution the approval of application(s) before submission of
said applications{s) to the state; and
WHEREAS, said application(s) contain assurances that the
applicant must comply with; and
WHEREAS, the applicant agency will enter into an agreement
with the State of California for acquisition, development,
rehabilitation or restoration of the pro3ect(s);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board
of Supervisors hereby:
1. Approves the filing of an application for Community
Parklands Act of 1986 state grant assistance for the
above project(s); and
2. Certifies that said agency understands the assurances
and certification in the application form; and
3. Certifies that said agency has or will have sufficient
funds to operate and maintain the project{s); and

4. Certifies that said agency will complete the project(s)
within three years from date of approval by the state;
and
5. Appoints the chairs of the Recreation and Park
Districts as agents of the County of Butte to conduct
all negotiations, execute and submit all documents
including but nvt limited to applications, agreements,
amendments, payment requests, and sa an, which may- be
necessary far the completion of the-aforementioned_
project(s).
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 20th day of September, 1988 by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Fulton and Chairrian McInturf
NOES : None
ABSENT: Supervisors McLaaghlin and Vercruse
