APPLICATION
WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors recognizes
that it is in the interest of the National Economy to pramote the
development of alternative energy resources to reduce our nation's
dependence on costly foreign oil; and,
WHEREAS, funds have been established by Senate Bill 992
(Garamendi}, and are available through the California Energy Commission
for grants to local governments for planning and environmental study
activities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of
Supervisors authorizes the submittal of an application to the
California Energy Gommission for a grant to establish a computerized
data base with graphic output capabilities to monitor environmental
conditions in the County. The Planning Director, of Butte County, B.
A. Kircher is hereby authorized and empowered to execute in the name of
Butte County all necessary applications, contracts, and agreements and
amendments hereto to implement and carry out the purposes specified in
this resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors
on the " 1st day of November, 1988, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Fulton, vercruse and Chairman McInturf
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor McLaughlin
NOT VOTING: None
