HomeMy WebLinkAbout88-171Kesolufion No. 88-171 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ESTABLISH COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 114 - COUNTY OF' BUTTE WHEREAS, pursuant to Title III, Division ZZ, Part 2, Chapter 3 of the Government Code of the State of California, the County of Butte has petitioned the Local Agency Formation Commission for formation of County Service Area No. 114; and WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of Butte has approved the formation of County Service Area No. 114. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOT,VED that County Service Area No. 114 is proposed to be established under the terms of the aforesaid chapter in the unincorporated area of Butte County. 1. The boundary lines of the territories proposed for inclusion in the county service area are described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference. 2. The county service area shall be called County Service Area No. 114 (County of Butte). The type of extended county services to be provided is the financing of feasibility or planning studies and the cost of administrative overhead associated with implementation of the Nitrate Action Plan. The County Service Area shall not finance the preparation of future detailed engineering studies. 3. The Board intends to levy a service charge to pay for the abovementioned services in County Service Area No. 114. The service charge will be assessed in accordance with Government Code No. 25210.77 (1) and the Butte County Code, Sections 21-85 through 21-90. Said service charge will not be assessed until review and adoption of a report to be considered as a public hearing scheduled for the 89/90 fiscal year. -2- On December 20, 1988, at 21:00 a.m., in the Board of Supervisors' Room, County Administration Center, 25 County Center Drive, Oroville, California, a public hearing will be held on the establishment of said area.
