HomeMy WebLinkAbout88-183RESOLUTION BY THE BUTTE COUNTY BOARA OF SUPERVISORS APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDING FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA RURAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INFRASTRUCTURE PROGRAM (REDIPj WHEREAS, the $utte County Overall Economic Development, Tnc. is developing the H. J. Heinz Small Business Incubator for the purpose of housing and assisting small businesses in the County of Butte; and WHEREAS, on November 20, 1987 the County of Sutte issued Use Permit No. 86-20, allowing the operation of the incubator facility subject to the installation of full urban improvements along property frontage according to plans on file and meeting the requirements of the Butte County Department of Public Works; and WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors desires to assist in the creation of the Small Business Incubator but has no funds available for direct assistance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors as fellows: SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors has reviewed and hereby approves an application for grant funds as follows: Roadway excavation and reconstructien, storm drainage, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, utility pole relocation, sanitary sewer line connection and appurtenant improvements in the public right-of-way, to the Butte County Overall Ecnnnmic Development, Inc.'s Incubator Facility located at 1001 Willow Street in Chico - $80,000 REDIP grant. SECTION 2. The Board of Supervisors has reviewed the eligibility requirements contained in the statute and regulations governing the Rural Economic Development Infrastructure Program and hereby finds that the project and private development meet that program's eligibility requirements. In addition, the Board of Supervisors has reviewed the impact of the private development on the local economy of the county and finds that the private development will not result in an adverse economic impact on the county as a result of increased production and availability of goods, services or materials to be sold or used in the county where sufficient capacity already exists in the county to meet current and future demands. SECTION 3. The County Administrative Officer is hereby authorized and directed to act on the County's behalf in all matters pertaining to this application and provide for the execution of any documents related to the REDIP application. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 22nd day of November, 1988, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Vercruse, McLaughlin, Fulton and Chairman Mclnturf NOES: None ABSENT: None NOT VOTING: None HASKEL A.
