AN ORDINANCE ESTABT~ISHING SPEED LTMTT ON CERTAIN ROAD
WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF

2 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,,
do ordain as follows:

¢ Section 1: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an
,5 engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter described
g comes within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State
7 of California, in that a prima facie speed limit of sixty-five (65) miles per
g hour is more than is reasonable and safe on said highway, and determines and
g declares a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highway as follows;
10 Section 2: That a prima facie speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles
11 per hour is hereby determined, declared and established upon the hereinafter-
12 described Butte County highway, to wit:
13 ('a) On Humbug Road between 2.6 miles easterly of east right of way
14 line of Skyway and 3.6 miles easterly of east right of way line
15 of Skyway.
16 Section 3: That SPEED ItIMIT 35 MTT,ES signs be placed at appropriate
17` locations on the road described in Section 2.
lg Section 4: All ordinances or pacts of ordinances in conflict herewith
19 are hereby repealed.
20 Section 5: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and
21 terms of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and
22 the invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, pravision, section, or term
23' thereof, shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the
2¢ same inoperative or invalid.
2g Section 6: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is
26 hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie
$q speed limit established herein, within thirty (30) days of the adoption hereof.
28 This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage, and
2g before the expiration of fifteen days after its passage, it shall, be published
30 with the names of the members voting for and against the same, once in a local
31 n.awspapex pixblish~d in the County of Butte,. State Of California.

2 State of California, at the regular meeting thereof on the 17th day
3 of May 1966, by the Fallowing vote:
