BUTTE COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. SS 1
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE OPERATION OF A WORK
FURLOUGH PLAN FOR BUTTE COUNTY JAIL PRISONERS
The BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the County of Butte, State or
California, do ordain as follows:
1. That Section 15 of the Code of Butte County, Calif-
ornia, is hereby amended by adding the following sub-section
thereto:
Sec. 15W27. WORK FURLOUGH PLAN.
The Board of Supervisors of Butte County finds, on
the basis of local employment conditions, the state of the county
jail facilities, and other pertinent circumstances considered by
this board, that the operation of Section 1208 of the Penal Cade
of California, providing for the operation of a work furlough plan
for county jail prisoners, is feasible in Butte County.
The Sheriff-Coroner of Butte County is hereby designated
as the officer who shall perform the functions of Work Furlough
Administrator.
2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
thirty (30) days after its passage, and prior to the expiration of
fifteen (15) days from its passage, it shall be published once in
a local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of
California, with the names of the members of the board voting
for and against the carne.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the
County of Butte, State of California, on this 31st day of May,
1966, by the following vote:
AYES : Supervisors Howsden, Maxan, McKillop and C~iaixman G~.3.es
NOES : None
ABSENT Supervisor Pryde
NOT VOTING ; None
