I2C-25) WHEREAS, Colony Road between the Midway and Richvale Highway is a County maintained road; and WHEREAS, Colony Road is essential for the local farming community and for public use as a general traffic circulation route; and WHEREAS, Colony Road Bridge across Western Canal, State Bridge No. 12C- 25, is structurally substandard, is presently posted for restricted loading, is narrow, and requires replacement as soon as possible; and WHEREAS, Colony Road Bridge across Western Canal will be eligible for bridge replacement funds under the Federal Highway Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation Program providing Butte County Board of Supervisors certify that Colony Road Bridge across Western Canal is essential for public use and there is no reasonable alternative route. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors that Colony Road Bridge across Western Canal is essential for public use and there is no reasonable alternative route.
