STATE OF CALIFORNIA y. ~+ ~i ~~~ ~' ' '~ ~~ c . ~, 89-844 ftesolufion No. O~ , 4i~~~ RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF VEHICLE LEASE AND OPTION AGREEMENT WHEREAS, this matter came on hearing before the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, at its regular meeting on April 4, 1989, in the Board Chambers, Butte County Administration Building, Oroville, California; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors has determined that a true and very real need exists for the acquisition of the vehicles described in the Municipal Lease and Option Agreement presented at this meeting and for the County of Butte to enter into said Agreement as Lessee; and WHEREAS, the Baard of Supervisors has taken the necessary steps, including and legal bidding requirements, under applicable law to arrange for the acquisition of such vehicles. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte that the terms of said Municipal Lease and Option Agreement are in the best interest of County of Butte for the acquisition of such vehicles, and the said Board designates and confirms the following persons to execute and deliver, and to witness (or attest), respectively, the Security Pacific Merchant Bank Municipal Lease and Option Agreement and any related documents necessary to the consummation of the transactions contemplated by the Municipal Lease and Option Agreement: ~ C William Ra dolph Chief Administrative Officer (Name and Title of Person to Execute Municipal Lease & Option Agreement) ~~5~ ~ . Dick ~uelicher County Treasurer Tax Collector (Name and Title of Person to Execute Related Documents) William Randolph Chief Administrative Officer (Name of Party to Attest or Witness Municipal Lease & Option Agreement} BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Board hereby represents that the reasonably anticipated amount of qualified tax-exempt obligations which have been and will be issued by the County of Butte does not exceed $10,000,000 for the calendar year within which this Municipal Lease and Option Agreement is entered into and hereby designates that this Municipal Lease and Option Agreement is to be a "qualified tax-exempt obligation" pursuant to Section 265(b}(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
