HomeMy WebLinkAbout89-061 'Y ~ 'F-~ COUNTY (~F BIJTTF, STATE nF C.ALIFORf~iIA Resolution No. 89-061 RESOLUTION OF THE BUTTE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS REQUESTING JUDGESHIPS FOR SUPERIOR AND MUNICIPAL COURT WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors, as part of the trial court funding agreement, will request legislation adding two (2) Superior Court and one (1) Municipal Court judge positions when funds are available. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors that it supports the passage of state legislation increasing the Butte County Superior Court judgeships from four (4) to six (6) positions and Municipal Court judgeships from four (4) to five (5) positions, provided that the additional Judges shall not be appointed until such time as the Butte County Board of Supervisors finds there is sufficient funds for the additional judicial positions, adopts a resolution to that effect, and only then shall there be additional judgeships in the Butte County Courts. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Berard of Supervisors of the County of Sutte, State of California this 2nd day of May, 1989 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Dolan, McInturf, Vercruse and Vice Chairman McLaughlin NOES: None ABSENT : Chairman Fulton NOT VOTING : None - ED McLAUGHLI Vice Chairman Butte County Board of Supervisors ATTEST: William H.
