RESOLUTION OF SCHOOL CROSSING GUARDS BY THE CITY 0~' CHICO
AND PAYMENT THEREFOR BY THE CHICO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City of Chico and the Chico Unified School District
have entered into an agreement regarding school crossing guards at
elementary schools within the Chico Urban Area; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said agreement the City of Chico is, among
other things, providing trained crossing guards to serve at
intersections in the unincorporated area of the County of Butte near
J. Partridge and Shasta Elementary Schools and that the costs incurred
by the City of Chico in connection with providing such crossing guards
near J. Partridge and Shasta Elementary Schools are to be reimbursed
to the City of Chico by the Chico Unified School District; and
WHEREAS, this Board has no objection to school crossing guards
being provided in the unincorporated area of the County of Butte in
the Chico Urban Area in said manner, on an interim basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte has no objection to the agreement entered into
between the City of Chico and the Chico Unified School District for
the provision of school crossing guards within the Chico Urban Area
and in particular to the provision thereunder of school crossing
guards at intersections in the unincorporated area of the County of
Butte near J. Partridge and Shasta Elementary Schools at the expense
of the Chico Unified School District, on an interim basis.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Butte, State of California, on this 2nd day of May , 1989, by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Dolan, McInturf, Vercruse and Vice Chairman McLaughlin
NOES : None
ABSENT: Chairman Fulton
