HomeMy WebLinkAbout89-093RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ESTA~3LISH COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 121 - COUNTY OF BUTTE WHEREAS, pursuant to Title 222, Division II, Part 2, Chapter 2.2 of the Government Code of the State of California, the County of Butte has petitioned the Local Agency Formation Commission for formation of County Service Area No. 121; and WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of Butte has approved the formation of County Service Area No. 121. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that County Service Area No. I21 is proposed to be established under the terms of the aforesaid chapter in the unincorporated area of Butte County. 1. The boundary lines of the territories proposed for inclusion in the county service area are described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference. 2. The county service area shall be called County Service Area No. 121 (County of Butte). The type of extended county service to be provided is animal control services not provided to the same extent on a countywide basis both within and without cities. 3. The Board intends to levy a service charge to pay for the abovementioned services in County Service Area No. 121. The service charge will be assessed in accordance with .Government Code Section 25210.77a and the Butte County Code, Sections 21-85 through 21-90. Said service charge will not be assessed for any fiscal year until the report required by Government Code Section 25210.77a and Butte County Code Section 21-87 has been filed and adopted following a public hearing held thereon pursuant to Butte County Code Sections 21-88 and 21-89. -2- On July 11, 1989, at 10:30 a.m., in the Board of Supervisors' Room, County Administration Center, 25 County Center Drive, Oroville, California, a public hearing will be held on the establishment of said area. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors on this 20th day of June, 1989 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Dolan, Mclnturf,:-McLaughlin and Chairman.
