RESOLUTION DECLARING SEPTEMBER 18-22
NON-PROk'IT WEEK
WHEREAS, non-profit organizations provide countless
services to thousands of county residents; and
WHEREAS, three thousand volunteers provide nearly 200,000
hours of service to the residents of Butte County; and
WHEREAS, these organizations and volunteers meet many
needs not provided for by government; and
WHEREAS, more than 45,000 people will be served by non-
profit agencies in Butte County this year; and
WHEREAS, Butte County is richer economically and
culturally for the efforts of non-profit organizations.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board
of Supervisors hereby declares September 18--22 "Non-Profit Week"
and in sa acting salutes the volunteers of Butte County for their
tireless efforts.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California this 19th day of
September, 1989 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors McInturf, Dolan, Vercruse, McLaughlin and Chairman Fulton
NOES: None
