WHEREAS, The Department of Public Works has the responsibility
for issuing and administering all transportation permits in connection
with the use of Butte County road rights of way for transporting
oversize or overweight vehicles;o~:-'...loads; and
WHEREAS, expenses for these services are not of general
benefit to the public and should be borne by the individuals benefiting
therefrom; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing having been duly held pursuant
to California Vehicle Code Section 35795, it is determined necessary
to assess fees to pay for expenses incurred in providing such
services; and
WHEREAS, California Vehicle Code Section 35795 authorizes
the County to charge fees for the issuance of such transportation
permits.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors
does hereby establish and directs the Department of Public Works to
collect fees pursuant to the schedule attached hereto as Exhibit A; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that such transportation permits shall
be issued in accordance with the conditions specified in Exhibit B
attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall be effective
the 19th day of September 19 s9 .

3. That the clerk of this Board shall cause a certified copy
of this Resolution, with the seal of the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte, State of California, to be recorded in the
office of the Recorder of the County of Butte, State of California.
